The V Seven Weapon Systems Enlightened Lower is a machined 7075-T6 aluminum receiver. Material is heat-treated to T6 specifications for dimensional stability under stress. Anodizing meets MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 2 specifications at 0.002″ minimum thickness.
Tolerances are held to ±0.0005″ on critical surfaces. Upper receiver interface is cut to SAE AS71051 specs for compatibility with mil-spec uppers. Trigger pocket is CNC-machined to accept standard AR-15 fire control groups.
Lower ships as a stripped receiver. Requires FFL transfer for delivery. Weight is reduced via skeletonization while maintaining structural integrity at stress points. Magwell opening is flared to 34° for faster reloads.
Jake Morrison’s shop notes
The V Seven Enlightened Lower exhibits tight tolerances on the magazine well, measuring within +.001”/-.0005” of spec. Observed minor chatter marks on the rear takedown pin detent channel during inspection, though this does not affect function. Finish is consistent, but the anodizing appears slightly thinner near the trigger guard area compared to the rest of the receiver.
Tested: 3657 rounds bench-cycled. Pocket tolerance measured: within 0.0004″ on this batch. Weight (actual): 24.2 oz on shop scale. Units shipped from Phoenix in May 2026: 129.
