The 2A Armament BLR-16 is a billet AR-15 lower receiver machined from 7075-T6 aluminum. It receives Type III hardcoat anodizing for wear resistance. Machining includes a flared magwell and provisions for ambidextrous magazine release installation.

Tolerances match mil-spec dimensions for compatibility with standard AR-15 upper receivers. The lower incorporates a tensioning screw to eliminate receiver slop. Threaded takedown pin holes accept standard pins.

This lower works with mil-spec trigger groups, pistol grips, and buffer tubes. It accepts any AR-15 upper receiver with a matching rear lug configuration. The fire control pocket is cut for semi-auto triggers only.

This is a serialized firearm component. All purchases require shipment to your local FFL holder for transfer. No exceptions.

Jake Morrison’s shop notes

The 2A Armament BLR-16 billet lower exhibits a clean finish with tight tolerances for the trigger pin holes at 0.154" ± 0.0005". Noted slight resistance during safety selector installation due to the lower’s extended wall thickness around the selector detent channel. Machining marks visible under magnification in the magwell, though this does not impact function.

Tested: 3635 rounds bench-cycled. Pocket tolerance measured: within 0.0008″ on this batch. Weight (actual): 9.1 oz on shop scale. Units shipped from Phoenix in February 2026: 68.
