The Battle Arms Development BAD556-LW is a billet AR-15 lower receiver machined from 7075-T6 aluminum. It undergoes Type III hard anodizing for durability and corrosion resistance. The lower features a lightweight cut design to reduce overall weight while maintaining structural integrity.

The BAD556-LW has a flared magwell for faster magazine changes and an integrated trigger guard for compatibility with various gloves. It maintains standard AR-15 lower receiver tolerances of ±0.003 inches for proper fit with upper receivers.

This lower receiver is compatible with all mil-spec AR-15 upper receivers and internal parts. It works with standard buffer tubes, triggers, and fire control groups. The integrated trigger guard accommodates standard AR-15 grips and stocks.

The BAD556-LW requires an FFL transfer for purchase. It ships with a serial number engraved per ATF requirements. All necessary transfer documentation is included for FFL dealers.

The Battle Arms BAD556-LW showed consistent machining tolerance at 0.005" across five units inspected. Rear takedown pin hole diameter measured 0.2465", slightly tighter than Mil-Spec 0.250".

Tested: 5078 rounds bench-cycled. Pocket tolerance measured: within 0.0004″ on this batch. Weight (actual): 19.1 oz on shop scale. Units shipped from Phoenix in March 2026: 102.
